What keyword density means
It is the percentage of times a keyword appears compared with the total word count. If a phrase appears 10 times in 500 words, density is roughly 2%.
How to interpret it
There is no universal perfect percentage. High density can signal forced writing, but low density does not automatically mean poor SEO.
Keyword stuffing signals
- The same phrase appears in nearly every paragraph.
- The copy sounds unnatural when read aloud.
- Headings repeat the exact same phrase.
- Related terms are missing.
